On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, a public hearing was held at the Cup of Joy in relation to The Haven Ministries' application to the Kentucky Department for Local Government for assistance to construct a recovery house on property currently owned by the organization. The meeting was held to obtain views on recovery housing and community development needs, review proposed activities, review the proposed application and solicit public comments. The pre-submission application was presented to the Department for Local Government by a representative of the Kentuckiana Planning and Development Agency on Friday, April 7, 2023.
